Meet Ngan
Walking with young people as they discover themselves and the world.
Ngan Nguyen
PLMHP, PCMSW Therapist
Driven by her innate curiosity about our inner worlds, Ngan became a therapist to support people in making sense of themselves. The daughter of Vietnam refugee parents, a city to farm-life transplant (ask her about exotic fruit!), and the oldest child of three, Ngan has navigated cultural, familial, and social complexities that have made her who she is today.
Through her self-exploration, Ngan grew to deeply appreciate that “we are all so unique and so alike at the same time.” As her client, you can expect to receive unconditional positive regard, partnership, and collaborative directness from Ngan as she creates a space where you can be yourself, grow curious, and feel deeply valued. Ngan explains “you’re in the driver’s seat and you’re telling me what to plug into the GPS so we can get you to where you want to go. Detours, pit stops, and side quests are welcome.”
Ngan’s passion for learning reveals itself through her exploration of new hobbies and activities. Her engagement with life is evident through her hobbies of playing instruments, cooking, drawing people, and running. When she isn’t busy working with clients or learning something new, she can be found at home with her two lab-mix dogs, Juno and Jasper, or volunteering with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, where she has been nominated twice for Big Sister of the Year (Suncoast Region).
If you are an adolescent or young adult who is trying to figure out who you are, where you’ve come from, and where you’re going, then Ngan is the person for you. She specializes in helping people understand themselves and overcome barriers to find what they are looking for with their education, career, relationships, and health.
